2026 LCC Fall Virtual Trainings

There were two trainings given. The first was on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 with Karin Bates presenting Beyond the Basics: Building Bridges for Advanced Adult English Learners and the second on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 with Betsy Winchester presenting More than ABCs: Teaching Adults Foundational Literacy.
2026 LCC Annual Spring Virtual Tutor Training
We had a successful spring training on Saturday, February 28, 2026 with nine presenters and keynote speaker Andrea Echelberger. To see the recordings of the sessions and any handouts the presenters offered, please go to the 2026 Spring Trainings page.
Fall 2025 Trainings

Spring 2025 Annual Training
We had a very successful training on Saturday, February 22, 2025 with Louise El Yaafouri giving an excellent keynote address to kick off three simultaneous sessions with nine speakers on topics ranging from teaching pre-literate learners to math to vocabulary. Fall Workshop 2024
Wednesday, October 30, 2024, we held a workshop and networking event held on Zoom from 6:00 to 7:15 pm, Mountain Time on Keeping Adult Learners Engaged and Motivated.
We had a very successful evening! Over 20 participants attended from all over Colorado. We had an opportunity to break into small groups and discuss various scenarios where principles of adult education were discussed.
